2019 Council Christmas Brunch
Dec 8th - This year we got together as a Council for a Christmas Brunch at the Hilton Garden Inn. About 50 Brothers, spouses and guests participated in the event, which provided everyone with an opportunity to relax, unwind and reflect on our charitable works over the past year.
Lord’s Pantry Thanksgiving and Christmas Distributions
Dec 6 / 7 - Our Council assisted the Lord's Pantry again this year with the distribution of Turkeys for Thanksgiving, and the distribution of toys and dinners for Christmas to those in need in our community. This has become an annual tradition for our Council, with many Brothers and their families showing up to provide support.

Red Cross Blood Drive
Nov 23 - Our annual Red Cross Blood Drive was held on Saturday morning in the Social Hall at St Elizabeth Parish. We had a great turnout this year... one of our largest ever. We are so grateful for the support shown by our Parishioners, and so is the Red Cross as there is a dire need for blood at this time!

Welcome Home Cart Project For Veterans
November 18 - Our Council sponsored a program again this year to provide Welcome Home Carts to Veterans. Each month the Coatesville VA Medical Center helps dozens of men and women with their transition into new homes. The Welcome Home Carts provide essential items to help them settle in! This year, in addition to the support from Brothers and Council supporters in the Parish, we were also excited to get help from classes in the Parish School and from students enrolled in the Religious Faith Formation program. In total we were able to deliver 40 cards to the Coatesville VA this year!

Birthright Support Campaign
Nov 15 - Once again our Council held a fundraiser to support Birthright of Coatesville in their mission to provide love, support and hope to women facing unplanned pregnancies. This year we raised over $5,000!

40 Days For Life
Oct 10-11 Our Council and the St Elizabeth Parish Respect Life Committee coordinated Parish participation in the 40 Days for Life Vigil in front of Planned Parenthood of West Chester PAC. We pray that, with God’s help, this will mark the beginning of the end of abortion in our city and beyond. Thanks to everyone who participated in this effort.
2019 Soccer Challenge!
Unfortunately, we've had to cancel our Annual Soccer Challenge due to the low number of entries.

St Elizabeth Youth Celebration
Sept 8 - Our Council is co-sponsored a BBQ with the St Elizabeth Youth Ministry following the 11:30am Mass on September 8th. We brought the party grill (thank you Joe Brennan) and the culinary talent to cook the hot dogs. We also had pretzels, snacks and other goodies to make the afternoon complete.

Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show
August 31 - Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show is held each Labor Day weekend, and is one of the longest running shows in the area. It is a Chester County tradition for people to attend and compete in this show annually. Once again our Council helped with parking and other assistance over the weekend. In addition to saying hello to neighbors and visitors from outside the area, our Council receives a nice donation for helping out. Thank you to the Brothers who took the time this year to help out!
August 18 - All Brothers and their family members were invited to join us for our Annual Family Picnic. Steve and Shirley Puccino again offered us the use of their home for the event. It was a warm August day, but the beverages were cold and the breeze helped make it a very enjoyable afternoon for everyone. We had about 40 Brothers and family members join, as well as Father Chambers and Father Andrew!
July 28 - We held a Casserole Assembly for St. John’s Hospice in Philadelphia on Sunday, July 28, from 4-7pm. Due to the kitchen in the Social Hall being closed, we got together at Montesano Bros. Trattoria in Chester Springs. We had about 10 Brothers and spouses join in putting together 200 casseroles! Thanks to John Fiore for organizing this event!
St Elizabeth Parish School Graduation Mass
June 12 - Color Corps members of our Council and Chester County Assembly participated in the St Elizabeth Parish School Graduation Mass on Thursday, June 12th. This was the the final appearance of the tuxedo, cape, chapeau, white gloves and sword as official regalia for the Color Corps at St Elizabeth, as the uniform changes on July 1, 2019.
Golf Outing For Charity
June 7th - We held our annual Golf Outing and Dinner for Charity at Kimberton Golf Club on June 7th, and what a day we had! Almost 100 golfers joined us on a beautiful afternoon! While no one walked away with the $50,000 prize, we gave away over 40 prizes, enjoyed good food and each others company. Many thanks to all those who participated and volunteered to make this day a great success. See you June 5, 2020!

St. Vincent de Paul Clothing Drive
June 1 - Our annual clothing drive to benefit St Vincent de Paul was held on June 1st and 2nd. This year we had a 28' Box Truck available to us, and many parishioners took advantage of the opportunity to load it up with clothing, shoes, and other small household items that will benefit those served by St Vincent de Paul.
In addition to the 12 Brothers that helped with the process of loading the truck, we also had a Confirmation Candidate lend a hand! Thanks to Steve Puccino for organizing again this year. Click here for pictures!
Lord’s Pantry Letter Carrier Food Drive
May 11th - This year marks the 27th anniversary of the Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. Our Council helped out at The Lord's Pantry again this year with getting food items from the local post office to Downingtown, weighing and sorting items for stocking. Many thanks to the Brothers and family members who helped out this year, and to John Magee for coordinating!
May 5th - We celebrated our annual Family Mass and Communion Breakfast in the Parish Social Hall with about 65 Brothers and guests present. This year we thanked Father John for his service to our Council, as he will be leaving for Rome in June. We also were pleased to have Deacon Anthony, one of our RSVP Seminarians, join us for the breakfast. For the fraternal year 2018 / 2019, our Knight of the Year was Jeff Oulton, and our Family of the Year was John and Angie Fiore.

Crowning Of Mary
May 3 - Color Corp members from our Council were invited by St Elizabeth Parish School to participate in the First Friday Mass and the Crowing of Mary.
TuitionCare Awareness Weekend
April 27/28 - TuitionCare is an innovative developed by the Foundation For Catholic Education that financial benefits both local Catholic Schools and families with students at St Elizabeth by providing tuition credits up to $1,000 per family. based on Parish participation. We were asked to support this effort by coordinating TuitionCare Awareness Weekend activities during and after all Masses.
April 27 - At the request of the family of a recently deceased parishioner, members of our council joined other parish members in helping to clear out the home and moving donated furniture to the Community Warehouse in Downingtown, where it can help area families in transition from poverty! #FaithInAction!
Lenten Fish Dinner
April 12 - Thank you to everyone who participated in our Annual Lenten Fish Dinner on April 12th! Despite the rainy weather, we had a great turnout. We served 330 meals... our highest number ever. It was great to see families and friends hanging out together during the evening. Every table was filled!
We had over 30 Brothers sign-up to help out for this event, along with a number of wives. Many thanks to Joe Brennan for organizing this year's event, and to all the Brothers and wives who made it a terrific success. Click here to see pictures!
Our Council maintains the trail in front of St Elizabeth Church. The trail runs south from the front entrance of the church, to the covered bridge, and north from the front entrance to the trail marker at the end of the church property. Every year the trail is cleaned of trash during the spring and summer months. We need volunteers to walk and clean the trail for the months of April, June, August and October. Ideally, you will clean the trail in the beginning and end of the month. Bring your spouse, family member or a friend. A casual stroll will take you about an hour to walk the trail. 40 Days For Life Vigil
From March 6th 2019 to April 14th 2019 the Chester County Pro life Coalition took part in the 40 Days for Life Vigil in front of Planned Parenthood of West Chester PA. We pray that, with God’s help, this will mark the beginning of the end of abortion in our city and beyond. Our Council and the St. Elizabeth Parish Respect life Committee arranged for Friday March 22nd and Thursday March 28th to be our days to stand as a group.
Casseroles For Visitation BVM –
March 10th - We received a request from the Sister Parish Committee to help provide casseroles for Visitation BVM Parish in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. The project supported the “Tuesday Pray and Share” for the members of Visitation during the Lenten season. Casserole pans and lids were made available in the church Narthex, and the casseroles were collected after Masses on March 10th.
We had sign-ups for 26 casseroles! Thanks to everyone who helped out on this short notice request!
Free Throw Contest
Jan 27 - We sponsored the Annual Free Throw Contest for all boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 14 at both the Council level, and then at the District Level. We had several dozen boys and girls show up for the event, and some of the scores were amazing!.

March For Life Bus Trip To Washington
Jan 18 - This year marks the 46th anniversary of the March for Life in Washington DC, the largest event of its kind to end abortion and to share the vision of a culture of life! Our Council and the Parish Right To Life Committee sponsored the bus trip to Washington for the event. Almost 50 parishioner and friends joined together for the day!
Casseroles for St. John’s Hospice
January 13 - We had a great turn out of Brother Knights, spouses and kids to help out with our project for St John's Hospice. We met in the Social Hall, and organized assembly lines for each dish. The process went quickly, and within a couple of hours we had completed almost 250 casseroles! And, everyone got home in time to watch the Eagles game!
