Awards were presented in church, at the December 23rd Prayer Service, before the children went home for Christmas vacation. Fr. Mullin and Dr. Greco displayed the winning posters, and presented the awards to the children. After announcing the winners, GK Dan Condron, PGK Bill Schell, and FS Phil Forlano spoke to the Fourth Graders about the Knights of Columbus and answered some questions.

Annual Christmas Party!
December 5 - Our Annual Christmas Party was held that the Kimberton Golf Club. About 75 Knights and their spouses enjoyed a terrific meal catered my Montesano Brothers of Eagle and Pottstown. The evening included live music, dancing, and a gift raffle! Click here for pictures!
Casseroles for St. John’s Hospice
On November 9, 2014 about 24 Brother Knights and their wives helped assemble over 130 casseroles for St. John's Hospice.. A new record for our parish, and more than twice the number we made previously! Many thanks to all who participated. Click here for pictures!
Adopt A Trial Project
September 20 - We held another successful Adopt-a-Trail clean-up project on Sept. 20th covering the trail stretching from the corner of Graphite Mine Road/Station Blvd. to Fellowship Road/Eagle Farms Road. This year, at the suggestion of Brother Tom Dom Dominiecki, we partnered with local Cub Scout Pack 61 for the first time to complete the cleanup. We also had 6 brothers and 3 family members that pitched in. The cleanup was completed in one hour under sunny skies and about two 2 full bags of trash were collected. Our council will continue performing cleanups twice per year with the next one planned for Spring 2015. Thanks again to everyone for their support! Red Cross Fall Blood Drive
September 14 - Our council held its 9th Annual Red Cross Blood Drive on Saturday in the St. Elizabeth's Parish Social Hall. Over 80 people participated in the event this year, and we collected 63 usable pints! A member of the Red Cross team mentioned they always enjoyed coming to St Elizabeth, and they appreciated the participation of the community. Thanks to Dan Keating for again coordinating!
$11,380 Donated To Birthright Of Coatesville!
September 10 - In March of this year, a Brother Knight challenged our Council to help raise funds for Birthright of Coatesville by agreeing to match a portion of the contributions raised. The Birthright Challenge ended at the end of August, and on September 10th we presented a check for $11,380 to Birthright of Coatesville. Click here for details!
Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show
August 30 - The Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show is one of the longest running shows in the area. It is a Chester County tradition for people to attend and compete in this show. Our Council helped out again this year by directing traffic for parking. Over 20 Knights participated over the 3 day Labor Day Weekend. Thanks to Doug Cox for coordinating!
New Officer Installation
August 10 - Congratulations to our new Council Officers! An installation ceremony was held on Sunday, August 10th, after the Family Mass at 9:30am . Best wishes to all in fulfilling their duties in the coming year!
St John's Hospice Casserole Assembly A Success!
July 13 - About 18 Brothers and their family members gathered at the Social Hall to prepare 59 casseroles to help feed the homeless men served by St John's Hospice (over 400 a day!). Many thanks to John Fiore for coordinating this event. We hope to to do it again later in the year. See details and photos here!
2014 Golf Outing
June 13 - Our annual Council annual golf outing was held at Kimberton Country Club. Over 50 Knights and their guests joined for a great day of golf, and a dinner catered my Vinney Montesano of Montesano Bros of Eagle / Bucktown. In addition to having a great day, we also hit a new high in funds raised that will help us continue our community works and acts of charity! May 20 - We welcomed five new members to our Council this month. We are pleased to have with us: Mark Wykle, Brian Whitaker, Matthew Foust, Paul Gillam, and Joe Brugger. Congratulations!
Letters Of Appreciation
National Letter Carrier Food Drive / Lord's Pantry
May 10 - About 12 Knights from our Council and their family members helped during the National Letter Carriers Food Drive this year. We met at the Lord's Pantry in Downingtown and helped to unload trucks, sort and store food, and helped with set-up and break down. The afternoon thunderstorms didn't dampen the spirits of the volunteers, and some of the group stayed on past 6pm helping out. Thanks to John Magee for coordinating the event.
Annual Family Mass and Communion Breakfast
May 4 - We held our annual Communion Breakfast and Family Mass on Sunday, beginning in church for the 8:00 AM Mass, followed by followed by a catered breakfast from Montesano Brothers in the Social Hall. Over 100 Knights and their families participated. We presented Father Chambers with a special gift in recognition of both his contributions to our Order, and the accomplishment of receiving his PhD. We were honored to have our seminarians Matt Brody and Joe Morrison with us, and they were presented with checks from our Order to assist with their educational needs. Jeff Ciardi reflected on the past years achievements. This year we were pleased to present the Knight of the Year award to Chuck Reimer, and to present the Family of the Year Award to John and Susan Laager Many thanks to John Fiore and all the Knights who helped make this wonderful event happen! 6th Annual Fish Dinner
April 11 - Many thanks to Curt Zingaro, PGK, and all of the Brothers that participated and supported our 6th Annual Fish Dinner on April 11th. From the ticket takers, to servers, to clean up crew, and of course the prep crew- you all did an outstanding job in making this another successful dinner. We served 257 dinners for both eat in and take out! Thank you also to the Brothers who bought dinners as well especially those who donated their tickets to other parishioners who might not have been able to attend. Special thanks to our Salad ladies- Patty Smith and Susan Laager, our fish fry chef Jim Smith and his sidekick, John Fiore, and of course Brother Vinny Montesano who always makes it look easy.
Annual Day Of Service
The Knights of our Council conduct a cleanup of our rectory every year before Spring. This year our cleanup was conducted as a part of the general Day of Service held at the Parish on April 5, 2014. We had 16 Council member and some family members cleaning debris left over from the past winter. Tree branches and leaves were removed and taken to the street for later disposal. Those tree limbs large enough were cut and stacked for Fr.Mullen to burn next season in his fireplace. The Knights also trimmed trees where branches were broken and still hanging on trees in the yard. At the end of the morning the Rectory was raked and cleaned, front to back. Members in Attendance: Jeff Ciardi, Bill Schell, Curt Zingaro, Mike Kasper, Joe Lagrossa, Ralph Hannum, Ron Vanalstyne, Jim Smith, Fred Clark, Matt Jiananno and son, Lewis Lefebvre.
iPAD Donation To St. Elizabeth Parish School
Our Council recently donated 10 iPads to St. Elizabeth Parish School Computer Lab, to help the school continue its efforts to educate the students on the use of the latest technologies. Bill Shields and Jeff Ciardi present a check for the purchase of the iPads to Dr. Diane Greco, School Principal, and Father Mullen.
Good Works Contribution
Our Council continues to provide support to Good Works, Inc., a Christian nonprofit organization which exists to improve the living conditions for low-income families in Chester County, PA. Pictured: Jeff Ciardi presents a check to Jim Ford of Good Works.
Chester County Assembly Donates Papal Framed Photos--

Free Throw Contest--
The 2014 Council and District Basketball Free Throw Championships were held on January 26, 2014 at St. Elizabeth School gym. Our Council had 43 contestants and 10 winners in the District Championship. These winners will go on to the Regional Championship on February 22, 2014. Click here for pictures!
