Keep Christ In Christmas – Poster Contest
December 22 - Our Council sponsored the Keep Christ In Christmas Poster Contest at St Elizabeth Parish School again this year. There were 18 posters submitted for review by the 4th grade class. We had four Brother Knights and Father Stokely judging. The first place winner got a check for $25, and the 2nd and 3rd place winners received gift certificates to Chick-fil-A. Many thanks to Paul Converse for organizing!
December 3rd - We celebrated our annual Christmas Social at the Hilton Garden Inn with 79 Brothers, spouses, and clergy in attendance. The Knights were joined by our Pastor- Monsignor Mullin, Parochial Vicar and Knights Chaplain- Father John Stokely, and Father Francis Chambers, OSA- our Knights Chaplain, emeritus. David O'Brien, our sponsored RSVP Seminarian, was also in attendance. Prior to dinner, WGK Dan Keating presented Fr. Chambers with a plaque of appreciation for serving as our Chaplain for the last 8 years, and a case of what we think is his favorite wine. The Social began with a Cocktail hour followed by a plated dinner and dancing to tunes from our DJ. Some of our Brothers showed that they haven't lost a step on the dance floor, led by our own "Tony Manero", John Rogge. He can't wait for next year's Social to show us some new moves.
Finally, a word of public thanks to our Brother Bob Hays for hosting the Knights Christmas socials for the past 10 years at his Kimberton Golf Club. We appreciate your generosity and the good times over the years!

Lord’s Pantry Thanksgiving and Christmas Activities
Again this year, our Council assisted the Lord's Pantry in Downingtown with their holiday distribution activities. On November 18/19 Thanksgiving Dinners were distributed to families in our community that needed a helping hand. We had 18 Brothers, 5 spouses and 10 kids helping out!
On December 9/10, Christmas Dinners and Toys were distributed to over 200 families (over 500 kids). We again had a great turnout for this event.

Christmas Card Sale – Keep Christ In Christmas
Nov 13 - Thanks to everyone who stopped by and purchased Christmas Cards or other merchandise! We were happy to see that sales of these beautiful religious cards were high than last year, both as a fund raiser and part of the Keep Christ In Christmas effort.
Respect Life Month
October is annually celebrated as Respect Life Month with a focus on the issues that continue to attack the sanctity of all human life. Our Council and Parish sponsored and promoted many different activities, including information distribution, speaker Jesse Romero, and a Vigil in front of Planned Parenthood in West Chester.
Fall Casserole Project Update
October 23 - Many thanks to the 20+ Brothers and family members who turned about to help with our Casserole Project for St John Hospice. This has become a semi-annual project for us. Last time we made 225 casseroles. This time we made over 300! Many thanks to John Fiore for coordinating this terrific service project!
Sept 24 - Color Corp members from our Council were honored to participate in Brother Joe Brennan's wedding... the first time we have done this at St Elizabeth! As Brother Joe later said... "Every wedding should have swords"! We couldn't agree more.
Blood Drive A Success!
Sept 24 - Many thanks to everyone who donated their time and blood to our Red Cross Blood Drive! We had a great response this year. We collected a total we had 63 units of blood which exceeded the goal by the American Red Cross (60 units). The Social Hall was buzzing from 8AM to after 11AM, then slowed to a steady pace 1PM. Thanks to Matt Ward for coordinating the event this year...well done!
Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show and Country Fair
Sept 3-5 The Ludwig's Corner Horse Show has been a Chester County tradition on Labor Day Weekend for over 70 years. We had beautiful weather and a large turn-out of both competitors a specators this year! Once again this year, our Council was asked to help make the show a success. A number of Brothers volunteered their time over the weekend to help direct cars in the parking area. Many thanks to Joe LaGrossa for coordinating this event.
August 28 - We held our annual picnic on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at the Puccnio residence on August 28th. We had over 60 Brothers and family members join us for this year's event. We had 2 grills going, and a wonderful assortment of food and desserts. Looking forward to doing it again next year!
Farming Project Harvest – Thank you!
August 27 - Many thanks to everyone who helped out with Farming Project for the Hungry this year! Back in April, we plowed and planted the field. On Saturday, August 27th, about 75 volunteers spent a long, hot morning working in the field harvest 1,700 pounds of potatoes. When we were done with the sorting and stacking, we delivered 47 crates of potatoes to the Lord's Pantry in Downingtown to help them with their efforts! Installation Of Officers
July 12 - All brother Knights and their families were invited to attend the Installation Ceremony of our Officers for the new Fraternal year. A short reception was held afterwards to celebrate the occasion. Congratulations to the new leadership team of Council 13141!
July 9th - We had about 30 Brothers, wives and family members helping Fr Mullin move into the new residence on the Parish campus. We had a team a positioned at each location, moving furniture and loading / unloading trucks. We started around 8am, and thanks to the number of people who turned out, we were done by 11am. Fr Mullin expressed his appreciation to Knights and all who helped out at the lunch that was held after the move. The new residence is beautiful! Click here for pictures!

2016 Annual Golf Outing And Dinner
June 10 - Thank you to all the Golfers and generous Sponsors who contributed to the success of this year's Golf Outing and Dinner at the Kimberton Golf Club! We had over 70 golfers sign-up, and the weather on the course was the best we have had in years! Thank you to the volunteers how helped organize and run the event! Click here for pictures!
Clothing Drive – Thank you!
June 5th - Our Clothing Drive benefiting St Vincent de Paul Society was a tremendous success! Thanks to the generosity of our parishioners, we collected over 600 bags and boxes of clothing and household items... significantly more than last year! All of which will help raise the necessary funds which are critical in helping The Society of St. Vincent de Paul continue their mission of “Neighbors Helping Neighbors”! Many thanks to Steve Puccino for organizing the event, and to all those who helped collect the bags and load the trucks!
Lord’s Pantry / Letter Carrier Food Drive
May 14 - The 24th annual Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive was held on Saturday, May 14, 2016, and Brothers and family from our Council where there again lending a hand unloading trucks from the Exton and Downingtown Post Officers. This food will be distributed to our less fortunate neighbors throughout the our community.
Family Mass and Communion Breakfast
May 1st - Over 75 Brothers and their family members gathered for our Family Mass and Communion Breakfast. Congratulations to Joe Brennan who was honored as our Knight of the Year, and Charlie and Kathryn Knott who were honored as our Family of the Year! Click here for pictures!
Farming Project For The Hungry
ril 23rd - We again hosted our farming project to help feed the feed the hungry of Chester County. Last year we donated over 1,800 lbs of potatoes . This year we had an expanded field size and planted onions as well! The potatoes and onions grown will be donated to the Lord's Pantry of Downingtown, Chester County Food Bank and other local food pantries. Lenten Fish Dinner
March 18 - Thank you to everyone who supported our Annual Fish Dinner! We had a great turnout, and the meals were delicious. After dinner, Parishioners had the opportunity to prepare for Holy Week and Easter at the Living Stations of the Cross, presented by the 8th grade at St Elizabeth Parish School.
Star District Award
March 1 - PA state Warden Fran O'Hara recently visited St. Elizabeth council to present former District Deputy Jim Smith with a Star District Award plaque. The award was presented to Jim on behalf of PA State Deputy Stan Glowaski for Jim's leadership of PA district 20 (comprised of St. Elizabeth, Thomas Moore, and St. Basil councils). Criteria for the award is achieving membership and insurance quotas.

Family Mass & Scout Awards
Feb 7 - We had a Family Mass at 9:30am on Sunday. As part of the Mass, Fr. Mullin presented 8 Scouts from Cub Scout Pack 61 with religious awards. Our Council sponsored the Scouts in earning religious medals. The Light of Christ Award, for Tiger or Wolves Cub Scout boys ages 6 and 7, is to help the Cub Scout develop a personal relationship with Jesus as a real person and friend. The ParvuliDei (Children of God) Award, for Bear or Webelos Cub Scouts ages 8 to 10, is to discover the presence of God in their daily lives as members of their families and parishes. Our Color Corp escorted the Scouts during the presentation ceremony. Brother Tom Dominiecki and his wife Mary were also recognized for receiving the St. John Neumann award for their contributions to Scouting. Click here more info and pictures
2016 Free Throw Championship
March 12 Update - Brothers Ed Smith and Jim Smith attended the East Regional Free Throw on 3/ 12, and assisted with the registration and scoring. We have one winner, Maggie Grant! Maggie intends to compete at State Finals on Saturday, March 19. Maggie received her trophy from PA State Warden Fran O' Hara.
January 31 - Since 1972, councils have sponsored the Knights of Columbus International Free Throw Championship for boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 14 (starting in the fraternal year 2013-2014). This year we had 55 participants, and 10 winners in the District Championship! The winners will go onto the Regional Championship in late February.

Science Fair Judging
Jan 29 - We were asked again to help out with the judging of Science Fair projects at St Elizabeth Parish School. It was a big success. Sixty projects were judged three times in about 2.5 hours. Students came down at noon to present their projects to the judges. Five winners were chosen from both the sixth and seventh grades. They will proceed to the Chester County Science Fair. In addition to Dan Kerr from our parish and 4 judges from St Basil, we had 12 Brothers and family members participating! Annual Blood Drive Cancelled Due To Blizzard!
Jan 23rd - Unfortunately, due to the winter storm that hit us over the weekend, we had to cancel our Annual Blood Drive. We appreciate the efforts of all who volunteered their time to get this organized, and those who had signed up to give. We will try to reschedule this event. In the meantime, you can go to www.redcrossblood.org to donate at another location /time.
March For Life
Jan 22 - Our Council participated in organizing the bus trip to Washington, DC again this year for the “March for Life” The 2016 theme was Pro Life and Pro Women Go Hand In Hand. Unfortunately the snow storm prevented the trip from happening this year! Many thanks to Chuck Reimer and the others that helped organize the event!
A Day Of Prayer For Life
January 17 - The Saint Elizabeth Parish Respect Life committee and the Knights of Columbus, Council #13141, invited all parishioners, family and friends to an afternoon of prayer for Life , in the daily Mass Chapel from 2:00-5:00 PM. Exposition of the most blessed sacrament at 2:00 PM was followed by evening prayer and Benediction at 5:00PM. After Benediction there was a presentation, “Pro Life and Pro Women go hand in hand”, followed by light refreshments.
