John Paul II National Shrine Pilgrimage – April 21, 2018

The Saint John Paul II National Shrine is a place of worship, religious formation, and cultural renewal to feed the minds and souls of its visitors. It is a place of pilgrimage with a first-class relic of St. John Paul II’s blood available for veneration.   Faithful to continuing the mission and legacy of Pope John Paul II, the Knights in 2011 established a shrine to him in the nation’s capital.

The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception is the largest Roman Catholic Church in North America. With its dozens of chapels devoted to the Virgin Mary, an upper church that can accommodate 10,000 worshipers and a soaring central dome, it’s a site inspiring both faith and awe. Throughout the Basilica, you'll glimpse a large collection of contemporary ecclesiastical art including statues, paintings and mosaics.

On Saturday, April 21st, our Council will go on a group pilgrimage to the Saint John Paul II Shrine and the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC.  The cost of the trip is $45 per person.  This cost includes bus transportation, admission to the Shrines, and a boxed lunch.   As space is limited, this is only open to Council Members and their families at this time.
